Sand Point Country Club offers a wide variety of experiences for its members and their guests. From our 6,000 yard, par-71 golf course with a beguiling mix of side-hill lies, small and fast greens, and dozens of deep Scottish-style bunkers; to our popular swim and tennis programs housed in our outdoor junior-olympic sized swimming pool and four outdoor, lit tennis courts, the club has something for everyone.

Situated just above the shores of Lake Washington, Sand Point Country Club offers many gorgeous views of the lake and the Cascade Mountain range. The course boasts a 130 slope rating from the tips for men. The ladies have it even tougher: from their white tees, the course rating is 71.8 with a 127 slope place making Sand Point among the top-10 toughest courses for women in the state of Washington.
The landing areas for drives along Sand Point’s tree-lined fairways require precision off the tee. Players with fine short games tend to excel at Sand Point, as its sloping greens and tight pin positions are tough to negotiate. The course is kept in immaculate shape by superintendent Craig Sampson, CGCS. Thanks to a comprehensive topdressing program, the layout boasts generally dry playing conditions year-round.
But, above all, the course’s hillside locale is its predominant feature. While finding a flat lie at Sand Point is a rarity, what’s common at the course are golfers enjoying unobstructed vistas of Lake Washington and the Cascade Mountains. On clear days this view stretches from Mount Baker near the Canadian border to 150-miles south to Mount Rainier. There are no other golf courses in the entire Pacific Northwest with such spectacular panoramas. Warm up before your golf round at the covered driving range, short game area or practice putting green. If you need to pick up some last minute items before heading out for your round, the club also boasts a full service Pro Shop with a comprehensive supply of golf merchandise, from balls to gloves to clubs for all skill levels.
Swim & Tennis
While Sand Point Country Club’s junior-Olympic sized swimming pool is open year-round, the hub of activity for the club’s many swimming programs happens from mid-March to September. Sand Point’s swim team competes in the Northern Division of the Seattle Summer Swim League, offering training and competitive events throughout the summer. In addition to offering dedicated Adult Only swim hours, the club sponsors an adult swim team.
The club also has a strong swim lesson program, ranging from toddler through competitive stroke, as well as lessons for adult swimmers of all ability levels. All classes are taught by Red Cross certified instructors, and private lessons are also available. One of the highlights of the summer season is the club's Water Ballet program, where children practice and perform musical routines to the delight of parents and members alike.
The club’s tennis program features instructional, recreational, and competitive tennis opportunities for players of all ages and ability levels. The club’s tennis professionals offer group and individual lessons, facilitate competition for members of the tennis team, and sponsor fun events for the members including Men's and Women's flights.
Dining & Catering
Sand Point Country Club offers a wide variety of dining experiences for its members and their guests. All member dining is focused in the club’s Main Dining Room and the 21-and-over Pan Room Bar. The Main Dining Room has unparalleled views of Lake Washington and the Cascade Mountains on one side, and the manicured greens and foliage of our golf course on the other. The Pan Room Bar, sporting the best views in the entire club, is surrounded by panoramic vistas of the Pacific Northwest in all of its natural beauty.
These two venues offer lunch service six days a week, dinner on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday nights, and breakfast and brunch on the weekends. During the summer months, this service extends onto our large patio overlooking the golf course and swimming pool, allowing members to enjoy cool summer breezes. From May to September, the pool snack bar serves poolside revelers with fresh salads, sandwiches, and ice cream treats while the golf-side Sand Bar provides a menu for golfers on the go.
In addition to the regular dining schedule, the club hosts many special events for its members, including Easter and Mother’s Day brunches, weekly outdoor family barbeques in the summer, and Santa brunches and dinners during the holiday season.
The club is also available for private celebrations of members and their sponsored guests, including (but not limited to): wedding receptions, rehearsal dinners, bar mitzvahs, business meetings, and more!
The Sand Point Fitness Center, located on the lower level of the clubhouse, is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week. All members have access to the Fitness Center. The club also contracts personal fitness instructors who offer a variety of classes, from swim conditioning to bosu ball training, yoga to strength training.
